New Music Video 'Eggs In A Basket'
Three time ARIA nominee Jasmine Rae is today officially releasing the third single - ‘Eggs In A Basket,’ from her latest critically acclaimed album, Heartbeat through ABC Music / Universal Music Australia. The quirky and incredibly unique track from the two-time CMC Music Award winner was written by Jasmine and fellow Melbournian songwriter Clive Young and received international recognition earlier this year when it was named as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.

Jasmine also performed ‘Eggs In A Basket’ in January at the Golden Guitar Awards. And for the first time, not only does Jasmine Rae star in the song’s new music video, but she also directed it. ARIA winner in his own right Mike Carr also has a starring role in the video along with Bree Tanay. “Eggs in a basket, ducks in A row. Headed for the big time don’t you know…. these were some lyrics that my co-writer Clive thought of and almost didn’t show me when we were throwing ideas around in a session. We laughed at the sillyness of the idea, and I felt an overwhelming urge to just dive into it and write what is the most ‘random’ song I’ve ever recorded,” says Jasmine Rae. “So we wrote a story about a little boy who started his own backyard business selling eggs to his neighbours, in an attempt to woo the little girl who lived at the top of the street. I love the driving force of the Mandolin throughout the whole track and the back porch vibe it creates.”
